Exploring Knokke

Knokke is the ideal place to go for long walks alone or with family and friends along the idyllic sea dike which brings you all the way from Heist to the famous statue of ‘De Haas’ overlooking the unspoiled landscape of the Zwin Nature Reserve with its newly reopen Visitors centre; This beautiful mixture of beaches, dunes, mudflats and salt marshes, as well as polders, ponds, reed swamps and woods are the perfect breeding spot for hundreds of water birds all year round. Not only walking is possible on the dike; you can also do the journey by bike of by go-cart which can be rented on several locations. The dike is also the ideal place for your morning run or evening boost of energy!

Do you prefer a day at the beach or a refreshing dive into the North Sea? With its long stretch of beach (over 10km) Knokke offers many possibilities for every age! There are also several water sport clubs where you can sail, kitesurf, windsurf,….  And if - in between all this action - you would like to have a refreshing drink you don’ t even have to leave the beach as from Easter until October many hip and lively beach bars pop up on different locations enabling you to have an aperitif toes in sand!  

Shopping in Knokke

Knokke is not only a mekka for naturelovers and waterbirds, it is definitely also a place where serious shopaholics will find their peace! With it enormous offer of shops - amongst which many international exclusive flagship stores - Knokke will appeal even to the most demanding shopper and this all year round even on Sunday and bank holidays when shops remain open! Hurray!

Art & Museums

If art is more your flavour, you don’t have to go elsewhere! Since many years Knokke has built up a strong artistic reputation, whether it is sculptural, architectural, paintings,… Scattered around this coastal town you will come across many artworks. Furthermore the town holds more than 85 art galleries mostly located in het Zoute. Here you can spot unrivalled masterpieces of international artists. The CultuurCentrum Scharpoord adds to this creative vibe by offering a wide variety of stage arts, craft courses,…

Playgrounds, tennis, golf,..... in Knokke!

A visit with the kids to Marie Siska with its secluded playground and its heavenly waffles is definitely a must-do! As is the mini golf and Approach in centre Zoute. Don’t forget Knokke also has a very nice Royal Zoute Tennis Club and for the golf fanatics there’s the exclusive Royal Zoute Golf Club.
